Deep Creek Lake with the DaB's

Friday was a regular work/school day but we did get the kids from school a few minutes early in hopes of beating some of the worst traffic. According to G&K the drive was wonderful, a lot lighter than normal. We stopped at that Western Sizzlin' place again for dinner, then got there around 8ish. Red was in a foul mood as she had been sick for a few days leading up to the trip. Kids played for a bit then sacked out all in one room. Fun for JAM... a bit too much giggling but what are you gonna' do?

On Saturday we played around the house for a while, then K and I took the kids down to the beach at the state park while Red and E slept and G got some writing done. Then we had a big cookout and the kids were exhausted from playing all day and the beach.

Wanna see one of the funniest things ever? Check out Wifey, 8 months preggers, trying to jump rope. Wow! :)

Sunday saw G and I take the kids back to Muddy River Falls where we went on our last trip in August '06. We didn't stay as long, and the day wasn't nearly as hot so there was absolutely no way I was going in the falls this time. JAM, S&E played on the rocks for a while near the falls, E tried to jump around on the rocks but is still a bit too little to do as much. Then we moved down to the river where it is much slower and JAM and I waded out into the middle and S finally decided to join us. Poor E took a slip into the water - not fun, especially when she didn't wear a bathing suit. E had a blast I think throwing rocks into the river and basically playing on the shore.

We got back to the house in time for lunch, then it was clean up time as the kids played outside and dinner at Uno's again like last year. The drive home was easy until we got to 270 and sat for 30 minutes in construction traffic. But, all in all, a 3 hour drive home wasn't too bad at all.
