Not only did I have a new baby to worry about, I also started my first year of teaching two days after he was born. Well, not exactly teaching but I did have to report to work for all the new teacher training week nonsense. But, I remember being so happy when I got to see my very first classroom, I was always so proud of my space when I was teaching. Being able to show it off to Wifey and JAM was a lot of fun for me.

JAM's birthday
Not much went on this day - only about 39 hours of labor for poor Wifey. And what did she get out of it? A truly crazy little boy! :)
We were very grateful to have family and friends at the Center with us. That was one of the best things about that place - the fact that bringing a little one into the world didn't have to be a sterile and lonely event. I'll never forget the lasagna and birthday cake we had that night at 1 in the morning. What a great time.
I know I didn't do a whole heck of a lot comparatively, but I was tuckered out if I do say so myself. It gave me the opportunity to take my first nap with my boy.
A very scared, but hiding it very nicely thank you, couple with their first born getting ready to head home from the Maternity Center, only about 8 hours after JAM was born.
Finally at home, our other little boy didn't know quite what to make of this new addition...
And relaxing with the new one. Off to a good start. Little did we know that this little bundle of energy was about to start crying and not stop for weeks and weeks.
